SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS
Solar energy is also an environment friendly solution if you are living
in a remote area without power- or water connection. The system has a
battery back-up to store the energy to be used at all times.
By using an inverter, you can enjoy the use of the normal 120Vac or 220
Vac networks in your home. In case of emergencies, you can connect a
generator that in times of need can also recharge the batteries.
Water supply is possible by connecting a solar energy deep well pump to
a well in the ground. The water of course has to be of good quality.
There are purifying filters available to be placed within the pipes to
purify the water to crystal clear drinking water.
Solar panels:
Placement of the solar panels doesn't require a permit in most
countries, but to be sure, check with the local authorities.
The system will work most efficiently when you provide the system
with adequate ventilation around the panels. An extra advantage in
our tropical environment is that you provide extra isolation of the
roof, leaving the house a little cooler.
